Impact of REACHPREP

As a REACH Prep scholar, I recognize REACH as a stepping stone that ultimately provided the meat for my education, with teachers guiding my decisions, and my horizons being broadened. The lessons alluded to both educational and worldly-wisdom. At my previous public school, I was just one child out of many. However, at REACH my teachers ensured I received an education tailored to my character. I remember my teachers not only being masters at their lessons but also mentors watching out for moral development. What I acquired at REACH is a rare thing that cannot easily be found elsewhere; I grew virtues and received motivation. One flashback I recall is my REACH trip to Columbia University. Being only in 5th grade, I remember receiving a rare burst of insight visiting the campus. My eyes became opened to opportunity beyond what I could have imagined. Above all, REACH Prep has given me that "Aha" moment where all pieces fall into place and a moment of clarity enlightens me, changing me for the better.
