Julia is a REACH Prep alumna from Cohort 12 and graduate of Greenwich Academy and Boston College. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and has a strong interest in educational access and child counseling. At Boston College, Julia was a member of the Service Learning Program, in which she served as a volunteer tutor to elementary school children, as well as the PULSE Program, in which she provided academic assistance and college guidance to local high school students of color attending Another Course to College with learning disabilities. From 2014 to 2017, she has shown continued dedication to helping students by working as an Academic Advisor at Prep Academy. Through this position, she has supported the academic progress and social well-being of our scholars and incorporated a mindfulness curriculum into the program to promote good concentration, mental health and wellness. After working with Prep Academy for four consecutive summers, in August 2017, she returned to REACH Prep as our Program Intern and Prep Academy’s Assistant Director.
